  • One of the best pilots I’ve ever seen!

    By MusicIsMagic4700
As a longtime lover of well-crafted drama series (Breaking Bad, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Justified, etc.), this is easily one of the strongest starts I’ve ever seen to a television show. The writing, cinematography, and cast are absolutely phenomenal. I can’t wait to see all 10 episodes of what looks to be a truly memorable miniseriesI
  • Will I be watching? Oh ya betcha!

    By TheRealJohnny_D
I'm really surprised how the first episode came out. I was hooked from the beginning. Will be catching this show every week.
  • Great show for the movie fans and nonfans alike!

    By Shelly1502
I love this show so much. It has the same feeling as the movie, but it is not the same story as the movie. The show manages to make every single character sympathetic. Martin Freeman's character starts out brow-beaten and pathetic, but comes into his own. His transformation is amazing to watch from episode to episode. Billy Bob Thornton as Lorne Malvo is nothing short of FREAKING AMAZING!!! Lorne Malvo will be remembered as one of the greatest villains in the history of television. The television equivalents of the two henchmen from the movie are nameless, but are known as Mr. Numbers and Mr. Wrench. Oddly enough, they steal every scene they're in and even tug at your heart strings at one point. The cops are entertaining as well, and even though you're rooting for the antagonists, you are rooting for the good guys as well. It's a great show. I would recommend it to anyone.
  • Instantly bought a season pass

If you liked the Coen brothers' original film, you will like this. It feels like a dozen years have passed and you're back watching again. The setting is familiar with those amazing endless fields of snow and blurry gray skies, but the people are different and up to new and strange things. There is a fascinating everyday realness to the characters that is uncommon on TV drama/crime shows.
  • Best show on TV right now

    By tmemedia11
I was skeptical, and resisted watching. But the reviews here are right — this show is amazing. The writing, the acting, cinematography is all outstanding. Like watching a high caliber movie rather than a TV show. More please!
  • Hooked from the start

    By rileyS23
Wonderful, crisp writing that allows you to enter the world of Fargo every week but scary enough to believe this could really happen. After the pilot, it’s hard to imagine the show topping itself but it continues to do so 6 episodes in. A fun and viciously dark show that makes you question what good and bad means.
  • Well Gosh Darn it to Heck!

    By rambovorz
Truly delightful. This new series based on the same humorous feel as the '96 movie flipped my plot-line expectations upside down. I knew it would be funny, but it was unpredictable as well. As a native of The Fargo-Moorhead area, all I can say is: get over it fellow Minnesotan/North Dakotans. This show is well written and worth your time.

I was expecting a show like this for a loooong time. But I wasn’t expecting something this good! Got my season pass!
  • Another Modern Masterpiece

    By Texana
I just finished the final episode of the "Fargo" TV series. That series was an amazingly well-written and well-acted show! I strongly recommend it. Dark. Funny. Dramatic. Shocking. Every actor deserves great applause for their part in making this show. The screenwriters have reminded me that TV is so much more intense than the theater, now. I had great expectations and I was still so pleased!
  • Familiar and Fun, Needs Short Season

With so much happening the first episode, can the show support a full season of episodes? I hope so! Much of the “Fargo” movie atmosphere is maintained with some new angles. Keep the story tight and moving and this could be a significant hit.

  • Amazing

Fargo is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I didn't think that this show could possibly hold a candle. But I was blown away by the first episode. This is brilliant, funny, shocking, riveting television with a great cast and great filmmaking. Martin Freeman's character is written so well and is so well developed. If you like dark comedy, this show is right for you.
  • Brilliant

Wow, this is one the greatest shows I’ve ever seen! The acting is superb, the storyline is intense, and it really draws you in! I’m just about to watch the season finale. Can’t wait! I highly recommend this to everyone!
  • Amazing..!

It is totally worth the 20 USD I paid and is difficult to put it in words how good Fargo Season 1 is. It probably has the best story, best directing, the best acting, the best cast and just the best of everything..!
  • Why is it Filmed in Canada?

    By Citizen Sane
This isn't a bad show, it's even funny, but come on. People in Minnesota don't really talk like this. It's all outdated stereotypes. And they keep mentioning Fargo which is in another state. My biggest problem with this show is that they filmed it in Canada! The whole thing is a Canadian production. Why not film it in Minnesota or North Dakota if it's set in the United States? If they can afford to hire all these big name actors, then film it in the US. I upgrade my rating to 4 stars because it’s really good despite the Canadian mountains in the background, etc.
  • “What flavor?"

    By Very Violated
Fargo is like a dream; so surreal that you forget why you’re still laughing in those mundane minutes between LOL moments. Must see to believe TV. Great performances, amazing soundtrack.
  • Funny, Quirky, and Exciting

    By Marooned51
It was such a joy watching this show and I can't wait to watch the next season. The story of Lester and Malvo was certainly an interesting one and earns Fargo a spot on my favorite shows list.
  • Great TV Adaption!

    By TheRandomOnes
Fargo is TV show based off the universe of Fargo the movie. The reason I say universe, is because the tv show has it's own storyline and new characters set approx 26 years after the movie. As a huge fan of the movie the tv show took some time to get use to. The Coen brothers are executive producers of the show, they didn't write it. However you will find many easter eggs and winks from the movie. So if you haven't seen the movie yet, start now, because there is actually a huge plot point that won't make much sense without it. The show offers a darker version with many more characters, but still keeps the black comedy of the movie. I couldn't find a single thing wrong with the cast except may be Key and Peele. I didn't know who they were when I saw them in the show, but they felt just a touch out of place. For some fans it took them right out of the show. It's very entertaining, gives you emotional ups and downs, and a view of what happens when small town folks meet horrible violence.
