Team Avatar returns! Korra and her friends have rid Republic City of Amon and the Equalists, but now they face an even bigger threat as the Spirit and Human worlds collide! Dark Spirits start to appear and randomly attack humans, and the only one who seems to know how to deal with these enemies is Korra’s uncle, the Chief of the Northern Water Tribe. Korra chooses to follow her uncle to understand more about the Spirit World, but when her father, Chief of the Southern Water Tribe, disagrees with some of his teachings, it spawns an all-out war between the two tribes with Avatar Korra caught in the middle! To stop the world from being permanently overrun by the Dark Spirits, it’s up to Korra and her friends to embark on a journey that takes them deep into the mythology of the mystical Spirit World, encountering creatures like nothing they’ve seen before, and discovering the truth about the very first Avatar!

The first season of "The Legend of Korra" was all I could've wanted from an animated fantasy-action series: a unique show set in a fantastical world full of amazing action, escalating adventure, and truly unforgettable characters, not to mention some fun humor along the way. As an avid fan of the magnificent cartoon that inspired it, "Avatar: The Last Airbender," "Korra" has rapidly managed to meet and even exceed its predecessor in such an unexpectedly short amount of time. The stakes are greater, the tension is even higher, and the stories have definitely grown much more complex at this point. The best part of it all is that both shows have grown and matured with us over the years, and there's honestly no telling where the story of the Avatar will go from here. Based on the two episode season premiere, I can already tell this latest book, Spirits, easily holds so much potential to become one of the most definitive and unforgettable seasons not just of this year, but of both the entire runs of "Avatar" and "Korra." So, needless to say, I'm absolutely thrilled to see what these new episodes hold in store. With its stunning animation, well-developed characters, and awe-inspiring settings, there's simply no denying that "The Legend of Korra" is truly one of the top animated programs on TV right now, and at the rate it's going, it can only get better from here.

Best ever. It started out weird but now that I've seen episode 2 I love it. I have high thoughts and hopes for this season.

  • Beautiful

Amazing show! Loved the first season, and so far I am loving the animation, music, and feel of season two. So much effort was put into this, and it looks like its paying off! Good job Team Avatar
  • Losing Momentum

    By Akirhensburg
I watched and loved the first season. The characterization was good, but the romance failed to improve the show. Season two relies too much on the romance, which is not the writers’ strong point. Focusing more on the friendships would have given this second season more of what made Avatar: The Last Airbender so great. Sadly, this continuation of Korra’s journey did nothing for me.
  • Best show!

The Legend of Korra is the best! I had really high expectations since Avatar: The Last Airbender, but wow... it's all amazing!
  • Season 2

    By 1997Luke
Season 2 starts off week and doesn't have the instant thrill season 1 had. But it ends with a bigger bang than season 1 did, and I think the writers are not running low on ideas just yet. Can't wait for book 3!
  • Messing up the lore

    By Dov4hk11n57
The show is great and entertaining, but a little disappointing. The thing that's makes it disappointing were the episodes that completely changed the background of the universe set by the original show. Other than this direction the writers took, it is still a good show.
  • Loved the Beginnings episodes.

    By Grandsparkman
The Beginnings episodes are by far my favorites this season. Certainly a lot of funny moments this year, but my problem was how long it took to get this season, and up until Beginnings, it just didn't seem as good as Book One. We'll see where it goes from here.
  • Good but…

    By Celtanican
This series is still good but has a different feel than the first season, korra is kinda whiny and annoying but like in almost all shows and movies they have that point where they change so hopefully this will happen with korra. This series IMO is more family oriented maybe, cause they put a lot of emphasis in family and everything (good morals) but what I don't like is that this whatsoever has no impact on the story or its irrelevant to the main story. It doesn't effect korra at all. But I still like this series and Is awesome

  • Great Depth Masks Minor Flaws - Spoiler Free

    By A Humble Reviewer
The book with the most depth from either series. Probably as a result of this feat, it does contain some questionable moments that tie pieces together. Forgivable. The book’s great strengths more than overcompensate and make this a wonder to watch.
  • Season two...

    By Chuck norise
Avatar is avatar. Last airbender, legend of korra, I love all of it. But this season... My least favorite point in avatar. Still own it, cuz avatar is avatar, but this season tried to do too much big stuff, and it didn't work out so well. NOW SEASON 3, one of the best seasons, and you have to see this first, even if it is weird. But I'm very glad korra got back on iTunes
  • Worst thing

    By Super super dumb
This is something I wasted 12+ dollars on. Don't get me wrong i love The legend of Korra, it's such a fantastic series with ehhhh voice actors but the most fantastic animation! But this is not it. I am not sure if I'm at fault for buying the wrong one, but this is just breakdowns of the animation, like the outlines, lineart, etc. Would not recommend BUYING UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE MONEY ON LIES!!
  • Best book ever!!!🙌

  • I would like to air bend my money back.

Warning! As of 11/1/14 season 2 is currently missing two episodes, and all episodes are out of order and miss titled. There also seems to be an extra copy of the last episode titled differently. This made watching the serious in order a nightmare. Itunes has yet to fix the problem.
  • Great Animated Series

    By Black Vulcan 69
I think that the Legend of Korra is one of the best American animated series of all time, and I really hope that both the creators and the network will continue exploring this rich universe. Thanks Nickelodeon for once again providing this high quality digital content to iTunes.
  • Amazing!

    By Cinemater
To those uncertain about The Legend of Korra: watch it. It is every bit as good as the original Avatar series was. Set in a more modern world, the new avatar is faced with struggles of a different kind, struggles that relate more to our modern world. Technology is booming, crime is rising, and a revolution is awakening. This is much more real than the last series was. The characters are built incredibly realistic, too. Korra is a revolutionary heroine: she is realistic, imperfect, hasty, rebellious... all the things that a teenager girl really would be. Faced with difficult decisions, she doesn't always choose the right ones, yet she always learns from them. The other characters also show these strenghts and weaknesses along with equal depth to the characters of The Last Airbender. While different, troubled, and darker than the original, everyone should give The Legend of Korra a chance. It has many wonders to be seen as of yet and her story is only just beginning.
  • Better than Season One

    By MarshmallowMoo
Many people disliked the second season, but I found that once it got past its kinks it engaged me even more than the first season did. The politics of the Water Tribes is a fascinating thing - and civil war is a heavy subject to deal with. Korra was a brat in this season, but it allowed her character to grow. She was controlled by fear in the beginning, and she overcame it in the end. Very good season. “Korra” is an excellent show.
