Inappropriate remarks, petty behavior, zero productivity - you can change the boss, but you can't change the office. Season 8 of the hit comedy series promises to be the most interesting yet as the beloved cast keeps Dunder Mifflin moving in a world (and office building) without Michael Scott. Office politics mix with old friendships and new rivalries as James Spader joins the cast as Sabre CEO Robert California. But everyone is still wondering the same thing: who is going to be the new manager? Nobody knows, but with the likes of Dwight, Jim, Darryl, Andy and a whole slew of surprise contenders involved, this power struggle promises to be NSFW (Not Safe For Work).

  • Season 8!

    By ChrisPaps
Can't wait to see what a Michael Scott-less Office can provide in the way of laughs. There is no denying Michael has been a fan favorite since the start, but with great characters like Jim, Dwight, Andy, and Darryl, i feel the office still has the comedic talent in its cast that the show can still be the best comedy on tv! Long live The Office!!!
  • Spoiler Alert

I think, from seeing the first episode of this season, that this has the potential to be one of the best seasons yet. James spader is the perfect CEO, and Ed helms really shined in the first episode as the new regional manager. Also Pam and angela's pregnancies have the potential to be a comedey gold mine

As Stanley now would say if you hate this show for any reason, then you should add the first number of each letter together to form a word, find all synonyms of that multiply it by five, and shove it up your butt. The office is a great show. Nothing more needs to or should be said. Except: That's what she said
  • The List

    By JH Pless
"The List" relieved me of all the creeping doubts I had about the show post Steve Carrell. The Office is still the best show on TV.

    Steve's the show
  • Time for the rest of the cast to shine

This is going to be an interesting season with my favorite guy missing.... I wish the show continued success as they have brought me out of countless days where I was in crappy mood. Thankyou for all the laughs so far...

i honestly love this show, but it will never be the same without steve carrell.. i remember when i first watched the pilot episode PAM..PAM.. i never laughed so hard in my life, hopes he makes a appearance while the season continues

Without Michael it's terrible. Not funny or humorous and just plain boring. BRING STEVE CARELL BACK!!!
  • Best tv show ever!!!

    By Gamer0024
What you have to understand is of course it is not going to be the same without Steve Carell, but these episodes are Really good!!! So glad they took off Will Farrell. Best episode so far is Christmas wishes!!! And Gettysburg.
  • The Writers have Derailed this Series

I've watched every episode since the beginning. Best show on tv - or it was. The problem isn't Steve leaving...Season 8 was unexpectedly funny sans Carell. The problem is the direction the writers are taking the show. Spader went from being odd to being a very creepy guy. "Pool Party"? Enough said. Angela is married, but oops the baby isn't her husband's. How hilarious and light hearted!!!! Gabe makes the comment about maternity wards being awesome because so much can go right ... And *grin* so much can go wrong. Finally - Jim and Pam. It was cute when she was dating Roy and Jim swept in. Well, Jim is a married man now and another co-worker wants him. Infidelity-themed tension is hilarious!!!! isn't. The Office has lost much more than Steve Carell. Buy Seasons 1-7. Skip Season 8.

  • The Lizard King

The Lizard King is one of the greatest characters ever.
  • Surprised.

I couldn't have been more sad when Michael Scott left. I thought the show was over. But I was wrong -- most of the episodes this season were incredibly well written, even more so than some of the Michael Scott seasons **cou SEASON SIX gh**. Excellent writers + actors. Maybe they should have tried for a post MS spinoff show starting with this season? It does seem like a different (great) show...
  • The office

    By Jack1234567890123456789
The office has been declining for some time now. In the more recent episodes jokes are non-existent and so is humor and all the original characters I used to love PLEASE don't watch too much much of season 8 or 9 they are horrible and will make your opinion of the office change completely. Save your eyes and watch scrubs or a good tv show
  • What happened?

    By Steve bonei
This was honestly terrible and was no where near close to the old office episodes, and its unbelievable that some people give this 5 stars those people have no clue what their saying and clearly have never seen the past episodes, which doesn't make sense, because anyone can see what a tragedy this turned out to be. i also think that Andy was a good addition to the show but cant be manager, and Arron was and still is the worst replacement for Pam her blatant stupidity is unrealistic and bothersome.
  • Still Great!

    By Themacdeezy
Robert California is one of the coolest new characters. He's so weird and disturbing. The simple fact that he is those things makes it funny to see how the other characters react to him. He really doesn't fit at all and that's what makes him so funny. I agree, though, that Nellie is annoying and she hogs the screen way too much with her constant rambling. No matter what, The Office, in my opinion, still hasn't lost its luster.
  • It still goes on

    By Ohio star
When I heard Steve Carrell was leaving I was like, "how is the office going to stay on? They maybe have one more crappy season left without him, but he has been the backbone of this show since '05. This is his show." I watched the first two episodes of season eight with a prejudiced attitude. Then I gave up. Over the summer I started to watch all the episodes that I had missed the previous year and I discovered that they didn't need Steve Carrell to keep it going. You will find that it wasn't just micheals personality that made the office go round, but that it was jims pranks, Dwights insane ideas, andys singing, and all the other amazing personalitys. When u only take one of those away, you still have a heck of a good show. Now season nine is on and I am psyched to see what happens, putting aside the fact that we lost two more crucial people (Kelly and Ryan). But let me just say, I expect there to be three weddings in this final season to leave me satisfied. Angela and Dwight, Andy and Erin, and darryll and Val. I am going to miss it when it's gone. But the legacy will hopefully live on with The Farm, Dwights new show starting mid season about schrute farms. Fingers crossed!

I will watch it until Creed leaves. when he was manager it was the tops.

They need to get rid of Robert, Nellie and Gabe..
  • Awful.

    By Awhhdvjtef
Unwatchable Robert gives me nightmares. Don't even get me started on Nellie.
