Description

Unable to police a world in which science has advanced beyond our wildest dreams — and nightmares — FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham seeks help from brilliant but damaged scientist Dr. Walter Bishop and his estranged son with a dark past, Peter. Under the direction of Agent Phillip Broyles, they solve gruesome mysteries and prevent imminent attacks. Created by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias, Star Trek), Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman (Transformers, Star Trek) and executive produced by Abrams, Bryan Burk, Jeff Pinkner, and J.H. Wyman, Season 2 of Fringe continues to explore the ever-blurring line between science fiction and reality, where hybrid monsters tear through sewers, thieves walk through walls, and portals open to worlds unknown.

This show is as the title says, amazing. Last season was creepy, funny, and mysterious. The premiere episode was all of that plus more. I can't wait to see what comes up on the show. Fringe is by far one of the best shows on television.
  • THE BEST SHOW!!!

I LOVE this show! I didn't have time io watch it last fall ,so I started watching it this summer and finished the whole season in two days! It's addictive and falls in the catagory of other great science-fiction shows like The X-files and Torchwood. If you havn't seen it yet start with season 1's finale before season 2. Whatever you do just watch it!
  • Amazing start!

Last season was gripping and intense. The first episode of season 2 shows the promise of builiding on that. Dunham's first appearance in this epidsode is nothing short of amazing, as is the look on Dr. Bishop's face at that moment. Here's wishing that Fox had seen fit to give us a two-hour season premiere (thats a good thing - this episode left me hungry for more!)

Being a HUGE FAN OF THE x-FILES - THiS SHOW IS BRILLIANT!!! WALTER BISHOP IS A RIOT - KINDA ON THE LINES OF A "DENNY CRANE" ON BOSTON LEGAL! HEY BOTH SHOWS WERE SET IN "BOSTON" MAYBE ITS SOMETHING IN THE WATER THERE. I THINK THE MOST AMAZING PART OF LAST SEASONS FINALE WAS WALTER GOING TO THE GRAVEYARD TO SEE PETER'S GRAVE - SO IT IS GOING TO BE INCREDIBLE WHEN THE "OTHER WALTER BISHOP" FINALLY COMES LOOKING FOR HIS SON - CREEPY!!! AND ON THAT NOTE - HOW MANY OTHER THINGS HAS THIS "REALITY" TAKEN FROM THE OTHER SIDE? GREAT SHOW!!! LOVE NINA SHARPE - SHE JUST GIVES YOU THE CREEPS - BECAUSE SHE IS AWARE OF EVERYTHING - BUT SHARES VERY LITTLE - AND THAT SMILE OF HERS IS SO UNSETTLING - BRAVO!!! THE CHARACTER OF BROYLES IS SO DEEP AS WELL. THE ACTOR THAT PLAYS HIM - WHEN HE WAS ON LOST BROUGHT A CERTAIN UNEASY FEELING - WHICH WAS GREAT - AND HE DOES THE SAME WITH THIS CHARACTER AS WELL!!! KEEP UP THE MAGNIFICANT WORK!!! ...AND THE HITS JUST KEEP ON COMIN'

Well, what doesn't this show have? If your into SciFi it has all bases covered from Alternate Realities to Psychic abilities. The first season has already set up a number of interesting points. Peter is not of this Space Time, (Josh your bound to love this show! Lots more interesting than DC, glad to see you back in Prime Time.) Olivia has been experimented on, and enhanced in some unknown way, Hopefully it will be something cool like the ability to collapse the wave of probability always in her favor, etc so that it ties into Walter being the experimenter and his work with quantum physics & alternate realities. There is the tension of how is that going to play out when and if both Peter and Olivia discover the past exploits of Walter in their childhood? There are so many ways this show can go if it doesn't see a long run I will be surprised!!

Very good first episode. We have all the great elements back that made Season 1 a success - Walter's goofiness, Peter's seriousness and even a few more characters. Olivie'a "shocking" entrance back to reality was very cool and the shape-shifter that showed up to pursue her will be very hard to catch in the coming episodes. We even got another glimpse into the relationship between Nina Sharp and Broyles. And there were two references to X-Files as we saw the clip on TV and the congressional review mentioned the "X cases"....too cool to tie these shows together. Now we just need to figure it all out and hopefully this season will give us a better understanding of what's going on with Massive Dynamics, the alternate universe and William Bell's experiments with Olivia and the other children -- and hope we get to see more of the Observer (who was last seen at the 2009 All-Star Baseball Game). Keep up the great work and can't wait to see what happens next week! Hopefully this show will hit full stride this year and keep fans and the network eagerly awaiting a Season 3!

Not the best season as a standalone arc, but is a necesary build-up for the AMAZING Third Season (with is THE BEST show in the worldwide as we know it, period). Although, the final chapters are the most exciting moments in TV history. Not a joke. Advise: See Season 1 first. ________________________________ About Fringe: A perfect blend of the 'X-Files' atmosphere with hardcore but digestable SciFi, with 'Minority Report' futuristic art direction and that excellent touch of J.J.Abrams ('Lost', 'Star Trek' movie) wraped by the jaw droping soundtrack supervised by Michael Giacchino ('Star Trek', again; 'Mission: Impossible'). Do you like character development? Watch Season 2!!!
