Description

Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of 'beautiful minds' that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow Caltech scientists Wolowitz, Koothrappali and Winkle. However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities ... including love.

The bath item gift hypothesis is the greatest episode of any show I have ever seen. The gift exchange scene is the best scene I have ever seen ever.

I was not sure what to expect this time around, but I enjoyed a lot of the episodes. My favorites include: "The Bad Fish Paradigm," "The Griffin Equivalency," "The Euclid Alternative" (basically the one where Sheldon gets his learner's permit), "The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis (the first Christmas episode), "The Killer Robot Instability," and of course the majority of the others. It's a great season.
  • Good geek jokes, poor female characters

The writers nailed geek culture very well, and Jim Parsons does a fantastic job as the neurotic and abrasively narcissistic Sheldon Cooper. However, the writers fall flat when it comes to the ladies. Many women are introduced for just one-episode, and they are written as flat stereotypes for the geeks to either date or drool over. The few regular female characters on the series are not written consistently either. They are either extreme stereotypes as well (like the reclusive sex-addict Leslie Winkle) or cast as foils for the geek's oddities (like Penny). The little depth that Penny is given shows that the writers are working off of stereotypes rather than real women who hang out with geeks or are geeks themselves. Alas, male geeks still don't know women well.

I should start out by telling you what type of sense of humor I have by telling you the shows I like. I like The Office, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Episodes, Parks and Recreation, Community, Friends, Seinfeld, Will and Grace. But this show is garbage... If u like any of those shows on my list don't watch this it it not smart and not even entertaining.
