  • Excepting a few hiccups, some of the best-written Doctor Who in its entire history.

My season 2 review was a bit lengthy, so I'll keep this one to the point: the good is great, the mediocre is still pretty darned good, and the great is mind-bogglingly magnificent in season 3 of NuWho. New companion Martha Jones gets a rip-roaring intro in the first episode, "Smith and Jones," and her first deliberate adventure with The Doctor, "The Shakespeare Code" is a loving tribute to the power of language (which I, as an English teacher, have successfully used to supplement Shakespeare lessons). Aside from a significant coda in "Gridlock," episodes 3 through 7 are enjoyable episodes, though not even within sight of the levels reached from episode 8, "Human Nature" through the season finale, "Last of the Time Lords" (which, in point of interest, was nominated for several special effects awards in a ceremony given internally by the visual effects community in 2007). Paul Cornell's "Human Nature" and "The Family of Blood", along with new "Who" showrunner Steven Moffat's "Blink" are among the best hours of visual entertainment I have ever been fortunate enough in my geekdom to see. If you want to illustrate what this series and its cast and crew are capable of, these above all others in "Who" history are the ones to choose. The three-part finale, "Utopia," "The Sound of Drums," and "Last of the Time Lords" brings the return of a classic-era "Who" villain, the return of "Torchwood" leader Captain Jack Harkness to the series that introduced him, and features guest stars Derek Jacobi ("I, Claudius," "Dead Again," and Kenneth Branagh's "Hamlet" among too many others to list) and John Simm ("Life on Mars"). If you're going to watch the finale, be sure to have all three parts ready to go, one after the other. Oh, and be sure to have watched "Gridlock" and the "Human Nature/Family of Blood" two-parter first; you'll be glad you did...allons-y!!!

  • Dr Who Finally on iTunes

Finally! They offer Dr. Who! Unfortunately I don't see the current season listed yet (maybe that will change). Great series and this from one who loved the old one. This is definitely different but the characters are still fun, funny and likable (well, except the Master, but he never is). Great series, get them all! Get Torchwood too, great spinoff but very different style.

I love doctor who! I'm glad they decided to release it. I'm hoping to see season 4 soon!

I as well as many people was completely excited when I saw up there in 'New Releases' DOCTOR WHO! Doctor Who is probably the BEST TV Show EVER! It has a great mix of Sci-Fi, British Humor, and the wonderful David Tennant playing the Tenth Doctor, what could be better? Series Three including Martha Jones, was quite a different series, considering that there was no Rose, so Martha was the one who had to pick up the pieces and put the Doctor back together again. The acting is brilliant! I'd give it 100 stars, but that's not really an option!
  • Thank God!

  • Incredible.

The third season of an amazing series. A new companion, old enemies, new adventures, the return of Captain Jack Harkness, aka John Barrowman to the show, and a mind-blowing season ender. What's not to love? My only wish is that they'd included the Christmas Specials too. But, oh well. I completely recommend this series for any fan of David Tennant, John Barrowman, Torchwood, and sci-fi fans. I'm looking forward to seeing season 4 on here soon......

I won't get into what I do and don't like about the season because there is ONE GIANT problem with the final ep. Martha's MOM HAD THE GUN.... Why WHY WHY!!!!! did you edit it out?!?!?!?? Give us the whole ep. Not the 3rd or 4th run edit episode. You cut content that made me really LOVE this season And other seasons. Martha's mom being talked out of shooting the Master just before his wife did is the biggest example!!!! WHY IN THE FRELLING YOTZ(sorry for the farscape cursing there) do you dumb content down? The original was FANTASTIC!!! Editing it for time here or anywhere else that fans PAY to watch is an INSULT.... An UNFORGIVABLE INSULT!!! FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I love this

  • Don't Blink

Great season. though if you are starting Doctor who DO NOT watch "Blink" it is an awesome episode but it doesn't really represent Doctor Who well since the doctor isn't really in it.

  • Doctor Who

This series is probably one of the longest and best series to this date, plus David Tennant is the best doctor of them all, he pretty much embodies what I would think of as "The Doctor". Perfect mix of crazy, excitement, wonder, and knowledge.
  • Incredible!
