SEAL Team is a new military drama that follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high stakes missions our country can ask of them. Jason Hayes is the respected, intense leader of the Tier One team whose home life has suffered as a result of his extensive warrior's existence. His team includes his trusted confidant, Ray, the longest-tenured operator with whom Jason shares an ingrained shorthand, and Sonny, an exceptional, loyal soldier with a checkered past who still combats self-destructive tendencies. Undergoing additional rigorous training in the hope of joining Hayes' select unit is Clay Spenser, a young, multi-lingual second generation SEAL with insatiable drive and dedication. Vital to the team's success are CIA analyst Mandy Ellis, who has sacrificed everything in her drive to root out evil and take down terrorists, and Davis, a no-nonsense, take-charge logistics officer and unofficial den mother responsible for outfitting the team with the necessary gear for each mission. Deployed on clandestine missions worldwide at a moment's notice, and knowing the toll it takes on them and their families, this tight-knit SEAL team displays unwavering patriotism and fearless dedication even in the face of overwhelming odds.

  • Good but seems a little Hollywood

    By brslc
I like the dog. Wish they'd focus more on the missions and not on contrived personal conflicts (at home and in the field). Think about examples of how men bond on the missions, then if there is a conflict, it is more dramatic. This is fresh material so don't cliche it up with arguments we've seen a hundred times in other TV shows.

Boreanaz once again is portating an angry and damaged guys who thinks that he knows best. annoying...
  • Great mix of action and personal

Great Show! Through 6 episodes, really great interaction between the characters and suspenseful action scenes. Won "6 Certified" military honor as being realistic portrayal of Navy SEALs. Many of the actors who play SEALs and writers served in the military. And there is a K9 dog who steals every scene she is in!
  • Character driven military drama with great cast

    By EclecticMusicFan12
Surprised by how good SEAL Team is. David Boreanaz is bringing his A game playing Jason Hayes - a Tier One SEAL who is the best of the best at work, while struggling personally at home. Had the show only been military battles & missions (that are nevertheless well staged & varied), I would have checked out. Instead, the show weaves the difficult work they do with great scenes between the SEALs and poignant moments with their loved ones. It makes me care about everyone involved. Other standouts: Neil Brown, Jr., Jessica Pare, & Max Thieriot.
  • Ridiculous

    By spenli2
Cliche, over the top stories, and wooden acting. This TV show is just plain ridiculous and nonsensical in its premise, characters, and execution. Enough of theses TV shows that over-hype the plot and characters to the point that we have stories and characters that resemble an episode of the 1980’s GI Joe cartoons. The produces might as well call the bad guys Cobra.
  • You cancelled The Unit after 3 years, what's up?

    By JustMy2Sense
CBS do you not know what the heck you are doing? You had a very good series in The Unit and cancelled it after 3 seasons. So I take it this show will be cancelled in 2021 even if it's good and then what? You'll make a show about Combat Controllers and PJs next?
  • Awesome

This series is full of suspenseful parts
  • Completely addicted

    By Drowsygrrl
I hope this show stays around for a while, I’m 100% addicted!! Although I really wish they’d let Nate stick around for a while and let the audience get attached to him before making his absence a pivotal plot point. Still a fantastic show :)
  • Another Great CBS Series

    By JCarver.Auburn
I’ve watched/DVR’d since the pilot, only waiting to buy until I felt it’d likely be continued in the future (eg, Season 2, etc). After five great episodes, I can’t imagine CBS not renewing/continuing, so I just bought the season on iTunes. I just wish the Season Pass would give access to all (upcoming) episodes immediately; I hate having to wait for new episodes. It’s a great show w/ a great cast - two 👍👍.
  • Amazing show

  • Good production values, boring show

    By Fletch F. Fletch
The characters are cliche and not very interesting. Oh look it’s the young hot head that needs to work with a team and the leader haunted by the loss of comrades. The time spent on the domestic parts of their lives drag worse than a uneventful soap opera. Gasp, the main character has a strained marriage? Lacks any sense of spark or inventiveness to most of the action and the tension is largely absent because it’s difficult to become invested in the fates of characters you don’t care about. On the plus side nothing looks cheap. The production values and details are very professional.

I was thinking it was porn
  • Mediocre

    By lozz360
An odd mixture of military set pieces and dysfunctional family drama. I never really got into the characters despite spending a good chunk of each episode learning about their families and problems. Good enough if you like most of your action scenes played out in shades of green
  • Needs more action

    By agreenpiece
it's ok, could be better on the action / tactical stuff and overall more tightly paced. Needs more explosions. There was some pretty heavy-handed feminist / PC propaganda first half of the season but more mission-focused now.

Excellent show with very accurate representation of SOF TTPs, deployment tempo, operational cultural, and physical/technical gear.
  • Excellent New Action/Drama

Characters with depth that you grow attached to. High intensity but its more believable than alot of other shows. The dog on the team is my favorite. So interesting and smart I decided to look her up! She has her own IMDB page. I hope this show sticks around for a while!
