  • United States Release Dates

Although it was aired in United Kingdom late 2016, the six-part series of Planet Earth II will be shown in United States, every Saturday starting Feb. 18 on BBC America. Filmed in Ultra High Definition (4K). It's worth buying the series especially it was narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
  • Magnificent but different from broadcast

    By Fred3.1415926
Why is the iTunes version different from the version broadcast on BBC America? The introductions were different (Attenborough in a ballon on TV and with a studio recorded version of the intro language on iTunes and with slightly different video). Both are great, but I fear that I'll miss something if I watch the iTunes version.

What a shame that an epic program such as this - probably one of the most amazing things ever filmed, should receive anything less than 5 stars because of a bunch of idiots who are taking their frustration out on iTunes. They're not hurting iTunes at all, but with the low rating, they do hurt the success of this show. Many of the animals in Planet Earth II have more brain molecules than some of the reviewers on here.

Great show....but iTunes is pathetic for selling it way before its available. Don't waste your money until it is fully released, people have been waiting months. iTunes, you know better

  • I don't understand

    By Maaaakel
I purchased planet earth season 2 expecting them to upload an episode after it airs on television. If I wanted to pay 20 bucks for 2 30 second previews I woulda went to the club.

I will take my frustrations out on you little ninja baby. Yes people who payed for this months ago for a release date that was wrong are frustrated. Now how about you just scoot along, nobody wants to hear what you have to say.

  • Great show but needs 4K

    By breiter406
I love this documentary but it needs the 4K viewing option. It was filmed in 4K, offer it in 4K. Netflix offers this in 4K, why not iTunes?

Planet Earth 2 is by far the most visually stunning film I have ever seen. The only downside is that it is not as long as the first.

  • Phenomenal

Planet Earth was truly one of the best nature documentaries, and PEII did not disappoint. I was a little dismayed to find out that there wasn't any ocean/water episodes, as those were some of the most intriguing clips from the first installment, but it's still an instant favorite of mine.
  • Incredible

I cannot express just how incredible and breathtaking this series is. From the beautiful shots, knowledge gained, amazing music, and intriguing stories of the struggles and lives of the planet, this is truly a piece of art and culture you need to see! Love it!
