Geez! What a terrible movie. From the disjointed soundtrack selections (including the super sappy super serious, swelling orchestral strings throughout) to the monotone dialogue, to the schizophrenic editing, everything about this movie sucked. We stayed withit because we thought the punch line would eventually drop but no. No. They actually were trying to be serious.
  • BORING! Boring! Boring! Boring!

Did I say how boring this movie was!!! Pathetic premise. Pathetic acting. Sam needs to open his mouth when he talks! I like him, but was very disappointed! Apple should pay me for watching this junk!
  • Beautiful movie!

Don't understand the negative reviews. I loved it! I think you will too... : )
  • Don’t trust rotten tomatoes

Love Sam Elliott, but this movie was horrible. It let like 4 incomplete story lines combined to make one incomplete movie with lots of plot and dialogue holes. It feels like they either couldn’t figure out what they wanted the movie to be about or they just ran out of money and tried to piece a movie together out of the only footage they had.
  • By far the worst movie!

Most boring, lame movie I’ve watched in many many years! Don’t waste your time and money.
  • Not a blockbuster, but still a good movie

If you've ever read the novels of Hemingway, you may have found yourself thinking they sound an awful lot like 1930s dramatic movie scripts, and not necessarily good ones. Yet he won the Nobel Prize for literature and is considered one of the greatest American writers. The problem is that his reputation preceeds him. You are expecting something you've never seen before, but the reality seems all too familiar. (never mind that Hemingway created that reality, copied infinitely by others) This movie is a little like that. You're probably expecting something you've never seen before, something that will change your life. It's not that kind of movie. But it's a sweet tale, and the main character wrestles with his demons for you to watch, metaphorically speaking. (there are no demons in the movie, for goodness sake) I don't know why they chose "the Bigfoot" for him to hunt. There may be some underlying reason for it, but it seems a weak point in the plot. Or it may be metaphorical. Yet he did have to do something big in order to complete his tale and bury his past. Just roll with it. The movie is a strong 4 star movie. We'll reserve 5 stars for the blockbusters. It's a quiet, slow movie with a lot of pensive moments. Go in expecting just that, and you'll be fine.
  • Good film

Don’t let the title scare you. Its a good film. Only downside was the cheap and ridiculous Bigfoot costume.
  • !!!!! This is a Great Movie !!!!!

    By Cjgarch
Don’t be discouraged by the title because this film is about more than Hilter and Bigfoot. If your looking for an action film it’s not for you, if you want one that challenges you to look deeper it is.
  • Horrible, amateur, non-sensical drivel.

Amateur, non-sensical drivel with too big of a budget.
  • Not bad

A little slow, and it didn’t answer all questions but still entertaining.

  • Best movie I’ve seen in a long time

I couldn’t stop watching the amazing Sam Elliott in this totally unique story that is a mix of the most amazing ideas ever. This is not a joke movie, it is a real story set in a fantasy world and it is destined to be a classic.
  • Most Stupidst of Movies!

  • Two stars for an awesome title

I saw the title and was pretty much sold, plus the trailer looked good; I didn’t enjoy it. All the WW2 stuff was ok, but the Bigfoot stuff was really bad. I like cheesey-horror as long as it’s at least a little bit tongue-in-cheek about it, but it felt like they were legitimately trying to pass off the monkey-boy from “Land of the Lost” as scary. Not to mention that everyone one just accepts Bigfoot as the cause without question... “here are some photos of dead Animals indirectly killed by Bigfoot, he’s carrying a virus like the monkey in outbreak, this proves Bigfoot exists and you have to kill it.” I don’t understand why the government would need to cover up Bigfoot killings by masquerading them as serial killings if everyone already accepts Bigfoot as fact. These people aren’t even killed, they die from the virus... it’s the serial virus killer? Then Sam Elliott goes out of his way to say Bigfoot is vegetarian when sniffing some poo he found, and Bigfoot starts slapping him like a five year-old child who’s wearing an adults long-sleeve shirt. I may laugh at crazy-vomit in movies like “the Evil Dead”, but when it happened here it was just bad. I choose not to join whatever cult following this movie gets, I’ll stick with the bad movies I do like.
  • Great preview. Horrible movie

Tried to be something it was not - like a good fun adventure fantasy movie. Didn’t pull it off. Bad. Great preview tho, sucked me in. Ugh.
  • Original, creative, restores my faith in film again!

Robert Kryzkowski pulls together a stellar cast and crew to make one of this year’s must see films. Action, drama, romance, humor, dogs. It has it all. With John Sayles, Douglas Trumball, Richard Yuricich working behind the camera, you can’t go wrong. Sam Elliott gives the performance of a lifetime. Nikolai Tsarnov, Larry Miller, Aidan Turner and Caitlin Fitzgerald give deep and touching performances, as well. If you aren’t able to view in the theater, rent it and watch it a few times to catch it all. Not to be missed!
