BlacKkKlansman : From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. In the early 1970s, Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) becomes the first African-American detective in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a difference, he bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. He recruits a seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation. Together, they team up to take down the extremist organization aiming to garner mainstream appeal. Produced by the team behind the Academy Award®–winning Get Out, BlacKkKlansman offers an unflinching, true-life examination of race relations in 1970s America that is just as relevant in today's tumultuous world.

  • Worst. Movie. Ever.

    By Evil twin lover
Such a steamy pile. This movie fails to be what it is supposed to be, a movie. It is a propaganda film, masquerading as a blockbuster. The PR team is smart not to tell the audience what this movie is. Had they been upfront with the trailers, nobody would see it. What is sad, is that it was poorly executed, he played into stereotypes, tropes, & nonsense. The movie had no point, or just one point —racism. It tried to be artsy at certain points but the execution of those scenes came off awkward. It’s like you could tell Lee thought he was really making a good film, like he was going for an Oscar. Pathetic. Rotten tomatoes & movie reviews are an absolute joke. How can we get unbiased reviews when it appears most critics think with the same SJW brain? I want my money back.
  • Phenomenal

Truly a work of art. I watched this knowing absolutely nothing about it and am appalled I have never heard this story. And love lee’a direction and how he really drives home and correlates the same things happening today
  • Loved This Movie!

    By Haxxsaw
This movie was great to watch. It is a movies well made and directed. It is sad to see the reacist comments among the reviews here. There are even some stating that they will not watch do those reviews get here? Only validated viewing should be allowed to post, instead of those racists simply trying to ruin the ratings. To those who are serious about entertainment, this movie will not disappoint. It is good from start to end, and will keep you interested in the characters as well as the plot line.
  • Fantastic horror/comedy

    By NixArt
Does a great job at showing arguments for and against the Klan, but still acknowledges evil for what it is. This movie really struck a chord with me. This is a really important movie for every American to see.
  • Leftist Propaganda

    By TrickyDZigns
But it’s Spike Lee... I knew what I was getting into before I rented it. Good for me that I have a brain and can see past all the propaganda Hollywood spreads these days. Great acting and an excellent cast, but blah at best. For the record, Django Unchained was far more superior in message and delivery.

    Totally thrilling and exciting
  • A master at work

    By Kilbourne
With an unwavering command of a myriad of filmmaking tools, Spike Lee produces a powerful movie that is part suspense thriller, part blaxploitation flick, part exposé, part comedy, part satire, and all powerful commentary on race in America.
  • It is a wake up call

Watch it all the way through. All involved create a monumental experience that reenforces what we know to be true and good. All were created Equal. All should be treated Equally. All are still not. All our work is not complete.
  • Boring

This movie was boring and predictable. Don't waste your time, money, hard drive space or cloud space for it.

  • It ain’t garbage nor it is terrible

    By Elton970
Don’t listen to these bad reviews , it is definitely not promoting racism at all , it’s actually the sad truth of how the USA used to be and the end of this movie, just opens your eyes , don’t want to spoil it , the story is about how corrupted these cults like black power and white power really is and what business really goes on behind these cults , and the police are under investigation. With a bit of humor on the side pretty funny and it also can get very intense , do not want to spoil this movie I recommend this movie ,me n my buddies all loved it.

  • Really good

It’s not terrible; nevertheless, I can see it’s flaws. It’s good, and doesn’t deserve the hate it’s getting

  • GREAT!

    By Dae987
This movie hits spot on, on everything. Acting, cast, and the script was all great! This movie really helps explain the black lives movement, and the racism in history. He uses real life footage in the movie. Him and his team REALLY did their homework for this movie.

The best movie this year so far! Loved it!
  • possibly the best of 2018

    By blkjay
This movie is really great! The acting, plot, set, cinematography, and music are all exceptionallly well done. I especially love the main theme music, it may be one of the best theme music i've ever heard in any movie...ever. The bad reviews on here are made by trumper and nazi snowflakes whose feelings are hurt and are unable to reconcile within their fragile psyches that a black man can make and direct a great film.
  • Speechless

    By The Mexican Zeke
When the movie ended everybody in the theater was speechless. So many emotions inside that room. America still has a way to go.
