Mile 22 : In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in.

  • Dissapointings director

Ok, it's an adventure movie with lots of action, but it was so badly directed that it became coinfusing at times. I am sorry I paid for it.
  • Long and boring

    By chitownmovies
Not often that you have a movie like this that is so boring that you can’t even finish it, that happened here.

  • GOLD!!!

This movie was hella gritty and suspenseful! The thing I love about movies like this is that they put actors in it that are believable. Mark Walberg, Rhonda Rousey, and Lauren Cohan are incredibly believable as Black Ops agents and their acting was on point. I’m dying to see the sequel.
  • Wow

Another movie that was ruined with poor writing. Mark was not believable as this character and made it very hard to finish.

  • It’s like they forgot what they were doing

This movie had all the right mechanics for a new James Bond, and then halfway through they got confused and wanted to be mission impossible.
  • Disappointing

The characters were flat and the story line was more the path of a drunkard in the woods. You can rent it for decent actions scenes, just don't buy it.

Boring! Don’t waste your time. And the twist at the end, it’s so dumb to base an entire film on !

  • Ugh !! So disappointing!

I was looking forward to seeing this for months.... what a let down. I think my expectations are too high for movies these days! Action was great but was missing something and the ending was horrible. Disappointing.
  • Gripping and well scripted

This a genuinely fantastic film. It is scripted as a snapshot into an opaque world of higher espionage, where the players are often not clearly defined, knowledge is scarce, and life and death decisions are made on the best actionable intelligence available- which itself is often incomplete and unreliable. If you are looking for a fleshed out hero-story replete with deep dives into each character's background and "what makes them special" this is the wrong film. Each player in the film is insignificant and mostly anonymous, as operatives in this world are. They are expendable assets deployed to achieve goals that have been deemed more important than their lives. They are each a drop in the ocean. Much in the way the characters in the film don't understand the full picture, the viewer isnt supposed to either. And it is unecessary to tell the story this film tells. Yet the film is gripping from start to finish and even without much character development, one finds oneself caring about the characters even as their expendability is highlighted. One realizes that their deaths don't matter, much as their lives largely didn't. Perhaps BECAUSE their expendability is so highlighted, their deaths strike a chord with the viewer; as we are all expendable in the greater scheme of things and very few of our lives will truly matter. We are all anoymous actors to most people we encounter, our motivations and back stories unknown. This film encapsulates the fact that countless lives are often lost for no real purpose and with no real import or notation as nations and ideals clash. This has repeated itself since the dawn of humanity and will continue till we are gone. The great game goes on.
  • Horrible

It just is. Mark is bad bad bad. Script and concept is dumb. I love action movies and this one was beyond bad and boring. I bought it. Don’t make the same mistake. Don’t even rent it. So dumb.
  • Loved the ending...leaves you wanting more.

Evenly toned with dialog, action and fictional to non-fictional reality. All characters were casted perfectly. A movie worth buying.
  • Great action movie

This movie was a huge adrenaline rush kind of a ride and I enjoyed every single second of this movie.
  • Did not expect that

    By rebf1
I did not expect the ending to hang so high with so much left unsaid and not done
  • It Could Have Been Good

Movies fail when they try too hard to be clever. The movie had all the makings of an excellent plot but it got bogged down in the twisty narrative. The audience got attached to the main characters so there needed to be a payoff for all the work and investment the audience put into these characters and their lives. In the end, no one cares about the narrative; we care about the characters. It seemed like the filmmakers didn't care about them and instead focused on their own facile cleverness. Booo
