Adrift : Starring Shailene Woodley (Fault in Our Stars, Divergent films) and Sam Claflin (Me Before You, The Hunger Games films), ADRIFT is based on the inspiring true story of two sailors who set out to journey across the ocean from Tahiti to San Diego. Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) couldn’t anticipate they would be sailing directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins. With no hope for rescue, Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved. ADRIFT is the unforgettable story about the resilience of the human spirit and the transcendent power of love.

Loved every minute 😍 this is her best movie yet
  • Lame!

Waste of money, didn’t get past the 15 min mark before turning it off. The acting is horrendous, which surprised me with these two, I’ve seen them do much better.
  • Why watch the movie

The preview tells the entire story.

Okay movie. Predictable twist in my opinion.
  • Movie should be called “Most confusing use of flashbacks”

    By 747whaledriver
There was a lot of good things about this movie, but the incoherent, illogical choices of flashback tidbits detracted from the film. Otherwise, it was a helluva ride. Scary – and I’m a blue-water sailor.

I did not like this film! The flash backs were so screwed up I thought I was losing my mind! I wish I would have known the ending before I rented it .

  • A well told story of survival

Both my wife and I enjoyed the movie with the ending catching both of us off guard.
  • Acting and story not that great

    By Dean_Moriarty
Something was a bit too romanticized about this story, maybe because it was adapted from a true story, but still it felt a little forced to tell a big story. I just felt like something wasn’t connecting me to the characters as much as feeling like a forced story adapted around a true story. Maybe that’s the directors and the actors fault. I wish I cared much more about the characters than I did.
  • An amazing story!

Such an intense film beginning to end, it’s amazing this is a true story. Still need to read the book.

That ending tho! A great romantic and terrifying movie.
  • Juvenile acting

Great movie except for the mentality of the lead actress always laughing louder then she should, looking intently more then she should, or saying Baby in this overly confident/cool tone. Cringeworthy. It reminds me of a 14 yo girl trying to act like an adult, but failing. Apart from that, good movie.
  • Excellent movie 🎥 🍿

It’s awful to know that it’s a true story, but from start to finish this movie was an amazing love story with a horrible twist!!
