  • Great film

I’m sorry for the people that gave this film a poor rating. It’s true there are no space aliens, zombies, monsters, transformers, no massive CG scenes, no gratuitous explosions or car crashes, no college humor, nobody is coming of age, no millennial angst. Its not cut as fast as possible to keep the short attention span watchers involved. It is a good story about the lives of some human beings that unfolds at its own pace. This film was nominated for the following Academy Awards - Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Supporting Actor.Enough said. (Period)

The movie is a classic. Great theme. Great settings. Jeff Bridges is an icon as an actor. Chris Pine, however, has some growing up to do, both as an actor and a public personality. During one of the HD extras in particular, he was arrogant, rude, full of himself and had a foul mouth. I'm sure his comeuppance is on it's way.

  • A Fantastic & Old-School Movie

This movie has to be one of my favorite movies I've seen this year--to date. Acting, all three actors, is incredible and deeply thought-provoking and visceral. When this good of a movie is made, that isn't a tentpole/major studio project, we should celebrate it.
  • Masterpiece

This film is masterpiece. Great plot the feels just right from beginning to end, and leaves you thinking about it afterwards. Gorgeous shots, juxtoposing the wide-open terrain of the south/mid-west with the quiet desolation left by poverty. Makes just enough poignent social commentary to be relevant without banging you over the head with it. From top to bottom, one of the best movies in recent memory.
  • Phenomenal

Wonderful story. Completely relatable but doesn't pander to the audience. The ending, without giving anything away, is perfect. The dialogue is hilarious.
  • Wow!

Both Chris Pine and Ben Foster are incredible in their performance; however, Jeff Bridges steals the show! HOHW is a must-see for anyone who hasn't seen it! This is the Best Picture of the Year!
